We wring from waves the ships that wrecked

.We fight the burning in our hearts

Until the monsters start to spark

Until the night-lights start to fade

We tame the dragons in our veins

.

We grab the ocean by its neck

We wring from waves the ships that wrecked

Until our arms no longer tread

We fashion life from all that’s dead

.

We bury dreams in flowered graves

Like costumes worn in childhood plays

Until the monsters start to spark

We fight the burning in our hearts
